Luxus Garage Conversions Weekly Update.

It’s been a busy and satisfying week for the team as we’ve been moving between two of our ongoing projects, one in Desford and the other over in Loughborough. Both builds are really starting to take shape in their own ways, and it’s always rewarding to see the progress unfold.

Desford: Mist Coat Complete & Room Beginning to Come Alive

This week in Desford, the interior took a big step forward. Our painter has been in to apply the mist coat, giving the freshly plastered walls their first clean, even layer. It’s one of those moments where the space suddenly feels brighter and more defined — you can finally imagine how the room will look once completed.

We’re now letting the mist coat dry properly before we head back next week. Once it’s ready, we’ll be jumping straight into the next phase:

  • Fitting the internal door

  • Installing the skirtings

  • Building and fitting the cupboards

These little details make such a huge difference, and we can’t wait to see the room start to feel like a finished space.

Loughborough: A Fresh New Look With Window & Door Installations

Over in Loughborough, the exterior has had its moment. The new window and door were installed this week, and the difference is incredible. It’s amazing how just those two features can completely change the look of a building — the outside now looks clean, modern, and really well put together.

With the exterior sealed, next week we’ll be moving indoors to continue shaping the space. On the schedule:

  • Installing the insulated stud walls

  • Completing the first fix electrics

This stage always feels exciting, as the internal layout starts to form and the project moves from structural work to real, usable spaces.
